Materi Clause.

• Clause
Clause adalah gabungan kata yang mengandung subject + predikat. Jenis-jenis clause, yaitu :
1. Independent clause
2. Dependent clause
-Noun clause
-Adjective clause
-Adverb clause

• Independent clause
Independent clause adalah klausa yang dapat berdiri sendiri.
＞Subject + verb
Ex : i buy a new book (youtube,GiveMeMore)
I sebagai subjek, buy sebagai verb.

• Dependent clause
Dependent clause adalah klausa yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri.
=> Connector + subject + verb
Connector terdiri dari : because, before, that, although, after, when, whom, which, dan sebagainya.

Ex : before i go to my friends house + i do homework

Diubah menjadi : i do homework before i go to my friends house

• Noun clause
Noun clause adalah klausa yang dapat berfungsi sebagai sebuah kata benda.
Noun clause terdiri dari :
1. Object of verb
2. Object of prepositions
3. Subject of sentence

Noun clause connector terdiri dari : what, when, why, how, whatever, wherever, wheter, id dan that.
Contoh kalimat :
- We would love to hear how you are doing (noun clause berfungsi sebagai objecet of verb)
- The city has a blue horse statue that is 32 foot tall (noun clause berfungsi sebagai subject)
- She was worried about how her sister was doing (noun clause berfungsi sebagai object of preposittion)

• Adjective clause.
Adjective clause adalah klausa yang berfungsi sebagai kata sifat yang menjelaskan noun (kata benda).
> Relative pronoun :
Who, whom = people
Which = things
That = people/things
Whose = kepemilikan
> Relative adverb : when, where, why
Ex :
- The man who lives next to me is friendly
- Your teacher whom i met yesterday is beautiful
- The girs that i me your wear is good
- The dress that you wear is good
- I like the book which she gave yesterday
- The girl, whose car had a flat tire, works as an english teacher

• Adverb clause
Adverb clause adalah subordinate clause yang berfungsi untuk menerangkan adverb, verb, adjective, dan lain sebagainnya, yang ada dalam main clause. 
Adverb clause connector :
Time = after, as, before, since, until, when, while
Cause = because, since
Condition = if, whether
Contrast = althought, even though, though, while 

Ex : eva did’n pass the exam because she did’nt study hard

Preposisi terletak di depan kata benda atau frasa. Meeting 5, 3 Maret 2021 Name : Azfa Fadhilah NIM : F1071201044 Study Program / Class : Biology education / II-A2 Materi Appositive dan Present Participal. • Appositive   - Merupakan frasa yang menjelaskan subjek, noun, atau pronoun. - Appositive ini memberikan informasi baru atau menambahkan informasi tentang apa yang sedang dibicarakan. - Appositive dapat terletak di depan, di tengah, maupun di akhir. - Dalam kalimat harus terdapat subjek dan predikat. => Contoh kalimat appositive : Saya suka makan rendang, makanan khas Padang.
